West Ham fans will be keeping an eye open for Andre Ayew’s name tomorrow afternoon as the Hammers prepare to take on Arsenal.
West Ham coach Slaven Bilic is reported to have placed the player on an intensive training regime for the week as he wasn’t considered to be up to peak fitness.
Ayew, the deputy captain of the Black Stars of Ghana recently returned from injury and it is reasonable to expect a £20 million record signing to be in top shape by now.
Since then rumours of a training ground altercation between Ayew and Bilic have arisen on several West Ham fan forums and blogs.
One of such platforms, ClaretandHugh report being told by an insider that, “He (Ayew) has been placed on an intensive training regime as the manager doesn’t believe he is at the required fitness levels.
Ayew looks a natural right sided replacement for the missing Michail Antonio tomorrow and if, having been absent on Wednesday at Old Trafford, if he is again not involved the rumours are bound to grow.
