TT Brothers has fumed over GFA's management of the Black Stars
Former Accra Hearts of Oak Board Member, Isaac Tetteh, popularly known as TT Brothers, has called for the current Ghana Football Association (GFA) administration to be questioned over the Black Stars’ struggles.
He explained that the team’s recent challenges cannot be blamed on coach Otto Addo, who was fired by the association after losing two friendly games.
The ex-Hearts of Oak official believes that since the GFA has a say in decision-making and is in charge of running the team, they are part of the problem and should be held responsible.
GFA sacks Otto Addo
TT Brothers indicated that if Addo has been dismissed, then the entire GFA administration must also be dealt with for making wrong choices in terms of appointing coaches for the team.
“It’s the wrong time to fire the coach. And well, sometimes I ask myself, why the coach? Why not the entire FA? They have to look at it and rebuild the FA again. Why do they always want to sacrifice one person—the coach—for this blame? You know, winning games is not only about the coach. The FA is involved, its technical team is involved, and especially the FA that appoints the technical teams plus the coach. So if the leadership there employed these teams to manage the Black Stars, and they know excuse me to use the word—they are not competent, then why did they employ them?” he said.
The businessman further added: “We also have to check the FA. Who are those in the FA making these decisions about hiring and firing? Are they competent to hire, or are they just doing things for their self-interest? This is what we should all look at because the timing is wrong.”
