Patrick Osei Agyemang, also known as Countryman Songo, has faced a harsh response from Ibrahim Sannie Daara, the former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, due to his vile criticism of Black Stars coach Otto Addo, despite Ghana's double victory over the Central African Republic and Mali.

Songo, who has been a constant critic of Otto Addo since his initial tenure as Ghana's coach, was still not satisfied with the team's performance, questioning Otto Addo's tactics in the game against the Central African Republic, where the Black Stars won 4-3.

Songo claimed that the victory against the Central African Republic was due to the brilliance of the players and not any tactical manipulations by Otto Addo and his technical team.

Sannie Daara, reacting to a clip of Songo's rant on social media, suggested that the controversial broadcaster might be suffering from some form of dementia due to substances he has allegedly been taking.

Sannie Daara reminded Songo of the level the Black Stars reached under former coach Chris Hughton and called for objectivity when assessing the performance of the Black Stars under Otto Addo.

"The quality of the stuff Songo smokes these days is dangerous for his memory. Under Chris Hughton, we couldn't even beat Comoros, Mozambique, Namibia, Cape Verde, Madagascar, and got slapped 4-0 by the USA and 2-0 by Mexico. That's how low the Black Stars sunk before Otto Addo took over," he wrote on X.

The Black Stars managed to get their 2026 World Cup qualification hopes back on track with victories over Mali on June 6 and the Central African Republic on June 10, 2024.

The Black Stars pulled a shocking 2-1 win over Mali in Bamako before managing to beat a spirited Central African Republic side 4-3 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Jordan Ayew emerged as the hero from both games, scoring the winner against Mali and bagging a hat-trick against the Central African Republic.
