The Ghana Black Stars B team have been assured of receiving qualification bonus if they manage to defeat Burkina Faso this week to secure qualification to the 2019 CHAN tournament.
The team is up for a difficult assignment this Sunday when they play as guests to their counterpart from Burkina Faso.
Coach Maxwell Konadu and his side lost the first leg by a goal to nothing a fortnight ago when they welcomed their opponent to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Though the initial plan was for players to earn a winning bonus at the end of each leg, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has now decided to adopt the qualification bonus policy.
What that means is that every member of the team will receive a huge package at the end of the crucial second leg tie of the qualifiers against Burkina Faso if they manage to overturn the result from the first leg.
“Even though the team lost at home in the first game, a qualification bonus will be paid for the two-legged encounter and not just a single match-winning bonus should they win in the return leg on Sunday”, Public Relations Officer for the Sports Ministry Kofi Asare Brako has confirmed.
The crucial game will be played on Sunday, October 20, 2019, in Ouagadougou.
