We are seemingly creating a sin of omission; knowing that we have kids with the same talents languishing in our mediocre Ghana Premier League. All our kids here need is direction: someone in the leadership of Ghana football to organize them into a football team of their peers. Nkrumah and his director of sports, Ohene Djan formed the Republicans, which became the nucleus of the Ghana Black Stars. Ghana football legend, Abeka Ankrah augmented and cemented his prominence through the Republicans, -- as a teenager. Why can't we craft a similar mechanism? Football today has no borders. Abeka Ankrah did not play in Europe; not because he lacked the potential, but rather because of embargoes the West placed on anything from Ghana. The bottom line here is simple: if we can no longer think or create, our predecessors have already done it: let's just copy from them and go our merry ways. May Lord Almighty continue to bless our beloved Great Ghana: Amen!!!
