It doesn't matter whether the Coach is black, green, white or yellow. We just need a good decent coach. However, what I find so frustrating is that why we are still debating an issue which doesn't deserve any debate. We are wasting time, while other countries continue to surpass us.

Look at Senegal. They kept their first coach Iddris for a long time, even when the team struggled. However, he laid the foundation and the stability that has now transformed them into world beaters. There was adversity during his tenure, but he guided them through those challenging times, overcame and now look at where they are. It requires patience, diligence and planning. We lack the patience. We just want quick results, yet we don't have the players with the quality to grant us this success. We must be patient.

The second issue is that whoever the coach is needs time to build the foundation and needs to be supported by the GFA, the fans and everyone. This means unless we are regressing the Coach should be supported and given a specific and realistic timeframe within which his performance can be assessed. We must aim for attainable goals. No one cares what rich soccer history you have. Progress should be based on what players you have. If you have useless to average players, then you must sit down, be patient and let the coach and technical team do their job. There are no quick fixes. Everything must be earned the hard way.
