There are thousands of professionally qualified citizens who for several years cannot be placed into proper jobs. As we speak, many women are sleeping on floors in hospitals with their newly delivered babies. Many emergency cases to hospitals are being turned away - not by security personnel but by medical doctors and staff who flagrantly break the hippocratic oath with impunity and nonchalance.

The most basic of utilities - in the exclusive areas of the country where they are available, cannot be sustained without unexpected breaks. Public sanitation is a stinking nightmare. Most citizens have no access to personal toilets so they do the "big one" al fresco in bushes or on beaches. Yet, over the years, we can find enough money to pay footballers $100,000 even before inevitably, they fail to get to the final stages of this tournament.

The worse part about this football thing is that, after a Ghanaian coach had cracked his brains and energy to get the national team to qualify for the World Cup, they all of a sudden find reason, based on the loss of two TRAINING Matches, to get rid of him and give the job to a European. It's like giving the job of the security of a mouse to a cat.

Meanwhile it is rumored that this white coach is paid in excess of $100,000 a month to go and baby-sit the not too promising Black Stars team until inevitably, they are kicked out of the tournament for poor performance. Up to now, the "great white hope" of a coach has already lost one training match and I am standing by to see if his contract will be terminated when the Black Stars suffer from the loss of a second training match.

It was so difficult to contain President Trumps description of Africa as a bunch of shit-hole countries so one can imagine how much more difficult it is when we realize that our authorities go the extra mile to further emphasize the substance of Trumps statement.
