Ghana forwards Jordan Ayew and Antoine Semenyo exchanged just five passes between themselves across four World Cup matches, despite both players starting every game for the Black Stars.

The passing numbers between the two attackers remained extremely low throughout the tournament.

Ayew completed just three passes to Semenyo, two in the opening match against Panama, one against England, and none in the games against Croatia and Colombia.

Semenyo, meanwhile, recorded only two passes to Ayew during Ghana’s campaign.

He linked up once with Ayew against Panama, none against England and Croatia, before completing one pass to his teammate in the match against Colombia.

The pair failed to register a single pass to each other in two of Ghana’s four matches, with their only exchanges coming against Panama and Colombia.

Combined, Ayew and Semenyo recorded just five passes across the entire World Cup, despite sharing the pitch from the start in all four fixtures.

Ghana’s World Cup campaign extended beyond the group stage, with the Black Stars progressing to the knockout rounds before their elimination in the Round of 32.

They recorded a win over Panama, drew with England, and suffered defeats to Croatia and Colombia during their tournament run.
