Please all our players are foreign based players, what are we talking about and this rule will not affect them there.
Please come again!!!
But almost all of them started in Ghana. If the young ones in Ghana are trained on penalties, it will help them when they go overseas and when they return to the Black Stars in the future.
Charity begins at home. The Black Star players with foreign teams will eventually be replaced one day and when we start to groom young ones today we wont be in the same awkward situation tomorrow. Please revive the collegiate s ...

I think is a good idea when adopted and implemented, but, still some one has to lose for the other to win. Luck has to be on your side to win a game sometimes. That is why best players are selected for a national team of a c ...

It's an excellent idea, period! There is nthing like luck if you don't know how to do it, the one who knows how to do it does it better and wins.
Why not try and find good strikers and train them how to shoot and score rather than on penalty shootouts? Or why not train our players penalty shootouts before any tournament during trainings? although it might help our futu ...

Where did they start before going abroad? They need to be trained from the get-go, to boost their confidence and technique! I hope they go for it!
This is an excellent idea but awarding the wining team a point and the losing team a point will only serve to heighten the need for ultra-defensive plays. Not only will awarding all three points to the winning team be fruitfu ...

This will only be a good idea if we have at least 80% of local players in the team but this is a case where only 1 or 2 local players play for the senior team. I don't think this will have any impact.
Two points for the winner of the penalthy shootout, one point for the loser. Winner awfter 90 minutes of play gets three points. It's a great idea.
Winner of the penalty shoot out shoould be awarded two points and the loser a point. Awrading full three points will not motivate clubs to score dunring regulation but will rather concentrate on how to take penalties
Iwas going to type that when I read yours.Yes 2 points should go to the penalty kickouts winner and one point to the losser. That's how the US ice hockey league does it which I found it sensible.
I have been advocating this idea for long.Finnaly it is being considered.Winning team gets two points and loosing team gets one point. Thus the league table should have a winning draw and loosing draw sections.
Ampomaa,I wonder what you read about the main subject before reading the comment of Alhaji Osman, which he also either did not read well or understood.there is no where in the aticle that was said three points will be giving ...

Thanks for calling my attention. I only commented on Alhaji's comment.
This is not the best options, it will not improve the quality of play. The English Players are not good in taking penalty kicks as well but did they change their league to suit penalty kick? Maybe they should just play penalt ...

This is Ghana not England, besides, the English Premier League is played by foreigners and not the English.
Do we have to wait for the white man or England to do it first before we copy it from them?
That's a good thinking in finding solutions to a problem instead of duelling on the problem
This very good idea and i think Ghana will be the first country to adopt this system. Pls let us give a try. Dont think about thye foreign players charity begins at home. Then they can take it anywhere they go if bought.
This is not not new in Ghana. It has actually been tried before in the Ghana League for one or two seasons in the 80s
(not too sure) and abandoned. It was introduced for the same reason.
This development which was actually implemented in the Ghana league in the early 90s helped the west African country to boast of good penalty takers as the country converted as many as 10 of them in the 1992 Africa Cup of Nat ...

Although CID did not have that system, we still lost to them. PKs depend on confidence, which our players lack.
one point for penalty winner, no point for losser.
Stupid Idea! The MAIN PROBLEM is scoring goals BE IT PENALTIES OR OTHERWISE!
If we can score about 60% of the goal scoring chances we get we will not need penalties! This is typical Ghana where we always try to solve pro ...

What are we doing to solve our goal scoring problem? It seems our players need 20 scoring chances before they can score one. Maybe, just maybe, we should ban "small posts."
Tony Yeboah played and enjoyed "small posts"!!
Stupid idea. When you do that, it means there will no more draw in a league. This in not knock-out that if there is a drawn the penalty rules will apply.
The players should learn and practice or coach to train them how to pl ...

I don't think it will help Ghana League. The best things to do is for the coach to train his players when at training ground. What about goalkeepers? You can't train a keeper save all penalties. When it happen, it will favor ...

This is first time I notice people are sharing good ideals. let us start penalty kicks at home. big ideal
I believe the idea will be positive...however, I will add that the two to one point split should be contingent on 1+ draws and not 0:0 draw so to discourage defensive oriented games. In effect 0:0 draw penalty winner should t ...
