Now, if you were to open a textbook from years ago, you would have found that natural resources in abundance are a source of growth and wealth for
developing countries, or so it was supposed. Why not?
If you have oil, if you have diamonds, if you have gold and copper, can't these be used to help develop the country?
But if you turn to contemporary textbooks, the first chapter is liable to be about the resource curse, meaning that the revenues from foreign
investment in oil and gas and coal and copper get siphoned off in corruption. billions of dollars are siphoned off every year into THE private pockets of these so called CORRUPT DEMOCRATIC LEADERS.
WHAT A SHAME! There is a lack of transparency. There is a lack of accountability.
if you look at Chile, Peru, Indonesia, Malaysia, these are
countries that have been very successful in using their rich resources TO DEVELOP THEIR NATION. WHY CANT GHANAIAN GOVTS LEARN FROM THEM?
So the question is, how can resources be used to benefit broad economic and social development and avoid the corruption and authoritarian rule?
The key issue is always going to be the local population, the local leadership, the local press, and NGOs, non-governmental authorities that try
to promote openness and transparency. In 2010-2011, Ghana started to export significant quantities of oil.
Is this going to be the best thing that ever happened to Ghana or the worst thing that ever happened to Ghana?
The phenomenon called "Dutch Disease" is also part of the resource curse. THIS means that the exchange rate for the currency of
resource-rich countries becomes overvalued, and this hurts the exports of other industries.
WHAT THIS NDC GOVT IS DOING IS THIS. THEY HAVE DEVALUED THE CURRENCY, EXPORTING MORE OIL, RESOURCES AND STEALING THE MONIES INTO THEIR PRIVATE BANK ACCOUNTS.

It doesn't necessary mean call different players. The coach can use what he has to tighten the defense especially the position he used to play, he has to be expert in defense. BS is our team and we all want what's best for the team so when someone shares his or her opinion we need to go easy on that person. No one can say that we lacked defense in the past, that's so not true. Our past lacking was striking position and i boldly can say that our past success was because of our strong defense and midfield but it seems lately our defense is losing it's uptempo. We can talk or suggest all want but it is the coach who eventually has to fix any problem that the team may have because he is the one to be blamed.

Richard Kingston was the star keeper for both 2006 and 2010 world cup finals held in Germany and South Africa.in fact he made some wonderful saves during the competition and was poised to to take Ghana into the semi finals until that fateful night when Ghana threw away the opportunity to reach the semi finals as a result of that dreadful miss.Every Ghanaian suffered pain as a result including Richard Kingston and if the goalkeeper has got what it takes to make a comeback why not give him the chance rather than slagging him off for being old in the game. What Mr Nyaho should know is that experience is the best teacher, i dont understand the meaning of old he used to describe his objectiveness in bringing Richard Kingston into the Black stars line up.If the head coach Akwesi Appia thinks Richard Kingston is good enough to be called into the squad what has that got to do with Mr Nyaho who is not a coach or has even worn a jersey to play 90 minutes of football in any level. You see this is Ghana typical for people who are totally unrelated to certain departments poked their mouth where they are not wanted, the question is what did he know about football more than a football player who is now a head coach for his country. Everyone welcomes good suggestions on how to improve the strength of the Black stars for the purpose of winning games at international level but not destructive ones which in my opinion has no justification.Yes our defense is not as strong as we would have wanted it to be but where are the alternative other than building what we have to perfection. Mind you Ghana has featured in two consecutive world cup finals and am confident Ghana will make it a third time, Thank GOD we have players much much better and capable of marching the Egyptians from beginning to the end and beating them to qualify for Brazil. The home Game in Kumasi will prove decisive and i know with the likes of Essiene, Ayew, Kevin Prince Boateng,Richard Kingston and possibly John Mensah if called will do us a great favor all the way through to Brazill and cause another upset and great surprise once again not in Germany and not in South Africa but this time infront of the thousands of spectators in Rio de Janero right at the start all the way to the finals this i believe so.

And more importantly, they are a footballing nation and are no pushovers. That is my advise to Kwasi Appiah and co.
