MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE POLICE MUST ENDEAVOR TO ARREST AND PROSECUTE ALL (PLAYERS, FANS AND OFFICIALS) WHO ARE FOUND INVOLVED IN SUCH ACTS. AND THE COURTS SHOULD NOT DELAY IN HANDING OVER SEVER PUNISHMENTS TO THOSE FOUND QUILTY.

A colleague of yours is ponced upon for doing his duty, kicked, slapped, stamped, bitten, some parts of him pulled et all the inhuman pugnacity cetera and you choose to go and 'referee' Aboa is a name of a living being or something else in a language am familiar with! Look am going to be at the Accra stadium next week. What will happen is that I will personally kick the referee on the nose to ginger the fraternity to stand up and fight for their rights. I dont see them as Nkwaseafo) except they want me to believe so. Why ddnt they boycott or 'girltw3' at least the next 2 matches in remembrance of the unfortunate victim of rowdyism? As a matter of fact, this is the very first time a referee has been led to his untimely grave by spectators. Had they boycotted or girltwe3d the 2 matches, strong signals would have reached all including the GFA that referees are on the warpath. Adequate preparation would then be made to ensure their safety.
The Referees Association of Ghana (RAG)should not be treated like rags. However, they must stop to think and act so as to get the attention they deserve. Otherwise they will qualify for the non-enviable tag I give to silly groupings...SHUBTILL!

If the the journalist in this report could use DRESS FOR a referees uniform, then, i wouldn't be surprised if the police officers use Crocodile when referring to a duck !

This will make the management of football clubs to sit up and educate their fans on the acceptable behaviour at football games.

Referees sometimes, infact, most times are NOT FAIR. I watched Hearts and Medeama and it was as if Hearts was playing against the Referees' team. Anyways, i believe they have to be FAIR else we will hear more of such news.

In the first place you were chased and your dress torn , after receiving medication you were again forced to continue the match. Are you a fool, cant you in a way feign injury and get out of the scene and provide your report for the culprits to be punished but you wnet on to handle it . This means you were not injured in the first place.And to the ethics committee boss or whatever who was present is a disgrace on his part to supervise that game. Its now clear that our football activities have been given to DOGS to run it and you hear them come from nsoatre, bronkyenpim, bechem and all those areas without any knowledge in it.

The 1st and 2nd division matches even need more security or equal security as the premier because security is not just about the number of spectators but most importantly the infrastructure. The National Security must not sit for the third in a row to happen before they step in because it is about Ghanaians not Fifa.

I suggest the GFA commence a ban on Teams and their various home grounds. The said grounds should never be allowed to own a team to use as a home ground for at least five years to serve as a deterant .

Suspected militants have shot dead at least 39 people in an attack on a village in north-eastern Nigeria.

The attackers - believed to be from the Boko Haram group - destroyed the entire village of Mainok, about 50km (30 miles) west of the city of Maiduguri.

The incident took place late on Saturday, hours after two bomb blasts killed at least 50 people in Maiduguri.

Boko Haram has been conducting a four-year violent campaign to demand Islamic rule in northern Nigeria.

The morning after the latest attack, bodies were lying in front of the mosque waiting to be buried and buildings in Mainok were still on fire, the BBC's Will Ross reports from Lagos.

An eyewitness described how the attack unfolded: "They started shooting everywhere, they started burning all the houses in the village.

"I don't think that there is any house that is standing in the village and they have killed at least 39 people in the village.

"These people have guns - AK47, RPGs and so on and so forth, they can come and attack anybody and kill, including women and children, they kill everybody that can see them."

Earlier two bombs exploded in a densely populated area of Maiduguri - a city which Boko Haram has often targeted.

The first bomb was concealed inside a truck full of wood. As people tried to rescue victims the second explosion occurred.

At the time many people were crowded in a video hall in the area watching football.

There was also a wedding nearby and many of the dead were children.

President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno states last year in an attempt to curb the insurgency.

His critics say the move has been ineffective. Hardly a day goes by without reports of another deadly attack by militants, our correspondent says.
