He doesn't know how to read games, he thinks there's law where subs have to be made after 60mins. Even when we're struggling in the 1st half and you can tell a change is needed, he wouldn't know how to solve it. Its not about hiring a white man, its about hiring a competent person who knows what he his doing. We've had defensive issues for more than a year and he hasn't addressed it. Ghana has great players but under AA they will never reach their potential!

From Kevin"s point of view, he started insulted but because he thinks is a coach has the mandate to sack the two players with impunity. Infact Ghanaians will not take this action for granted because eighther he also leaves or the players come because his contribution to the national team is not above the players. You have lost the dressing room and team management, you have the respect and the trust of some players and Ghanaian fans, including me with your poor selections. Tactically your own players and even many good football fans, I think, were confused and are still confused and do not know your tactical mind now. Building a team, you must have the "core untouchable players", but you keep trying players and nobody can predict you, even when we know that in this situation it should be white you will come out black. You went into this WC not wining a single match. You lost two matches and drew one. A very poor and abysmal performance so far recorded in our WC history 2014, took place under your tutelage. Yes you did well by been the first Ghanaian coach to assist the Nation Team in qualifying to the WC finals. However, from all indications it seems our qualification was not actually as a result of your technical and tactical expertise but the individual brilliance and talents of the players. Its evident that the match was sold and Boye spent the whole night counting his share of the cash so was so tired and played a fake game. Look at how he had his face at goal and blocked Dauda from catching the ball which resulted in the 2nd goal. He wanted to head that ball in his own net once again. This team should be dessolved; they have got their money and the local black stars and some U20 players namely the captain,Aboagye, Assifua, Rahman, Yiadom; maintain Afiyie, Badu, Wakaso,Atsu,Afful,Warris,Accam,S. There was so much going wrong in the BS camp and there's no indication so far that he stood by his players when they found themselves sandwiched between corrupt GFA and corrupt NDC officials after they've threatened a revolt for the non- payment of their appearance fees. When it mattered most Kwasi was reduced to a GFA and NDC pawn.He was afraid he could lose his job if he stood by his players. In 1992, a non conformist Burkhard Ziese lost his BS coaching job because he insisted the right thing be done, ie. the prompt payment of his players allowances . Kwasi is no Burkhard Ziese; he's not his own man and he would be doing everyone a favor, including himself, by resigning his job. A good name is better than riches.

Come to think of it, the US technical team,in one of their published analysis, listed all our weaknesses and how they would exploit them. Guess what, one of the listed weaknesses was how we conceeded early goals. A good coach would have structured his team so that midfielders close down quickly and close spaces so that the defenders have space to sweep through balls. He would have done this for the first few minutes until the team structure stabilized. We call it game control. Trust me, we would have beaten the US. Being the first game, our players panicked and that also is due to inadequate preparation. The US team was properly preped for the Ghana game because they knew how important winning it was to them. I quess AA prayed and thought it was good enough forgetting that USA also has access to the same God.

Not even the FA president can shield the coach, if the soccer-loving people of Ghana decide that the coach must go, so Mr/Ms journalist, Dr Akwasi Appiah cannot vow to remain coach of the Black Stars. We appreciate his past efforts, but I must confess that my friend still has a lot to learn. When you have a crucial, must-win match you don't leave out your most experienced players and think the opposing players would get tired, and then you bring in your key players. It's only a Ghanaian local coach (not in any way looking down on local coaches; Keshi has done us proud)who would, for instance pick a goalkeeper (captain of his team and league champion in Europe)ahead of one sitting on the bench in South Africa.
As I said, Kwasi Appiah has done well, but he can't continue. I'm not the one to engineer his sacking, but it'll certainly happen, because the whole FA team has failed. In any case Nyantakyi has stayed too long, it looks like he's becoming too powerful; we all know that absolute power corrupts absolutely. Soccer-loving Ghana, be up!!!

The coach is earning less in a year than most of the players he’s in charge off earn at the European clubs in one week, which is why, the likes of Muntari and Boateng have no respect for his authority. Under Appiah Ghana has played excellent and attractive football, the only thing lacking is the final product of scoring more goals. Then he moved to the United States where he started coaching youth soccer before the opportunity came to coach the national team. I was the first to applaud the appointment of a Ghanaian coach, but the fiasco in the Ghana/US match tells me Mr. Appiah has a flawed judgment and cannot be a coach for our national team. It is sad but true; the unrest in the camp and his open skirmishes with Kevin Boateng is enough evidence that Mr. Appiah is not ready for the big leagues and he must leave.

But they became extremely disappointed when they were told that the trip had been cancelled at the eleventh hour and so they should watch the match on TV. Some of the supporters became agitated and so they protested vehemently, but the committee still stood its grounds.
In the end, the dejected supporters had no other option than to stay in their rooms and watch the Portugal-Ghana crunch match on television.
It will be recalled that about 500 soccer fans, including movie and music stars, passed the night in an open place at Forteleza Airport last Saturday, after Ghana’s match against Germany.
Among those who slept on the bare floor were Jackie Appiah, John Dumelo, Gyedu Blay Ambulley, Kobby Woyome, MP for South Tongu among others. That was after the Black Stars had held tournament favourites – Germany – to a pulsating 2-2 drawn game at Forteleza.
The fans had to sleep at the airport because the committee responsible for facilitating their journey back to their Natal base was nowhere to be found.
