Good bye to the arrogant trio. Braimah, the new goal keeper is good. Kwarasey is equally good. He was unfairly treated at the World Cup. The coach should call him back.

Bring back Kwarasey ASAP. it is now clear to everyone who our number one goalie is. I like Braimah for his social behaviour and pumping and directing his backline but please lets be fair, he is not in the class of Adam Kwarasey. It is Kwarasey, Dauda and Braimah in that order.
Afriyie Acquah has come to stay. I have been wondering how Akwesi Appiah was able to keep this guy on the bench all this while. Wonders shall never end.
This Rahman guy is slated for big things to come . OMG this guy is fearless with no respect to names in soccer. He really made nonsense of Boney Wilfried and Gervainho.
The least said about these English coaches the better. How can Atsu be sitting on the bench all this while in Everton with this superior display of soccer talent? Well maybe
he sees different from the millions who watched this game on TV and on the field.
Asamoah Gyan, I love your style of captainship. It is because of you that most of these young lads love to be in the BS camp. They just want to have fun and with you around they are able to relax and fit in.
It is however a poor judgement on your part to call for your substitution. You could have still been on the field without taking the penalty. Please next time don't abandon your troops who look up to you for inspiration.
Dede Ayew why all this crying? We all saw how you fought like a wounded lion. You are the spirit of the BS team. Please man up so that the younger ones will learn from you.
Jordan, thanks for the wonderful display when you came in as substitute. I have said it several times here that the future belongs to you. By the time we get to Russia, your pedigree would be unmatched. You showed everybody how to relax and take a penalty. Please teach your other colleagues. You are an expert but please try to pull up that Otto Pfister pants of yours haba!
Kwesi Appiah, welcome to the Ghana BS team. You showed courage and died for your fatherland

They are humans, just like Kwarasey who will react to unfair treatments. In fact I strongly believe we lost the tournament because of their omission. one of them would have been included in the starting 5 that played the penalties and we most likely would not have lost 2 kicks out of the 5 to win it easily.

That gyan for getting up from his sick bed to fire us up to the next stage and andre ayew becoming a real man at the tournament and baba rahman win my yaa asantewa award for bravery, jonathan mensah, afriyie acquah, christian astu deserve the okomfo anokye prize for fearlessness, all together the team wins the osagyefo prize for desire, drive and belief. As for 442 or 353 the trainers of the female team, the u17, the u21 the u24 must try it and see; otherwise one of the coaches rather than cuss must try it out and swag must give an award for that if successfull.the goal keeper is ok in terms of calmness and presence but not all keepers are good at penalties remember holland at wc2014 so in the future a penalty keeper must be part of squad; finally konadu start being a real assistant with good pointers for grant and stop being a mumu yesa yesa

Itis clear that Brimah is not good enough. He is lacking in all the critical goalkeeping areas, be it aerial coverage, one-time stopping shots without giving dangerous returns, kicking the ball etc. For a goalie who did not come any near any of the penalty kicks, I will say good riddance to rubbish. For me, Dauda et al are all better than this crap. They just need a bit of polishing but they are much better talent-wise. The reason why Ghana conceded few goals in the tourney was due to the rock-solid midfield and defence. With that solid organisation of defence, even my wife would have done equally well in post.

And won't listen to advice. He lacks technical ability and must spend some of his money to take goalie lessons in holland. You can't score, you can't save? Tweaaa
2. Attention to detail is Ghana's problem. Always have this "we have arrived, egotistical" attitude. This is why we haven't managed to get past any semi/final hurdle in the last 5 afcons
3. Play 352 during friendly games. 352 is not for tournaments
4. 2017: nothing is promised. Can we retrofit our ailing facilities in less than 2yrs. To host afcon? LOL...I hope Algeria gets it. I want ghana to win the trophy away from home. Playing at home is not a guarantee that we will win. PLUS, ego and narcissism will set in. Ghana plays best away from home. Gyan should not be counted on in 2017. This is the time to find and groom strikers, and midfielders,.goalies for 2017.
5. Fine, let acquah and wakasso be our new midfielders. We still need a healthy kasa and acheampong on the leftwing. We have no right wingers, maybe jordan. We need attacking mids and strikers who are solid to win afcon, plus 2 starting goalies. We cut corners at our own frigging risk!

1. Are you kidding...Razak had an awakening, he was exposed: his reflexes are not up there yet. He has a lot of learning to do. I wish him well. I like him but he is not an outstanding goalkeeper. He dove in the opposite direction in almost all the penalty kicks.
2. Shoot Outs: we should learn from the Germans how they often win their shootouts. Shoot outs require practice in order not to count on LUCK!!! In anything if you practice, you gain confidence, technique, skill and composure. Then the factor of luck becomes minimal.
3. The team switched back and forth from 4-4-2 to 3-5-2. Anytime Afful or Rahman overlapped, 3 defenders were left behind. What we need is quality players who can adapt to any formation.
4. I will not be surprised if we don't win 2017 AFCON, just because of one reason: corruption. Ghana had one of the best squads in WC 2014, and yet we blew it by not paying the players at the appropriate time. The performance of the Black Stars against Germany in the WC 2014 was testament that if the GFA was a top notch football organization, without any taint of corruption, Ghana would have sailed through the group stages. I still think Ghana's loss to the USA and Portugal was questionable.
5. You need all your top and experienced players, including the young and exceptional players. It takes years to build a cohesive and winning team. We just blew an experienced team at the WC 2014. I can assure you that if Ghana had assembled a similar squad as we did during the WC 2014 qualification/Brazil 2014 plus Rahman it would have been a different story. In Afcon 2015 Ghana had a weak bench, whereas Ivory Coast had a deeper bench. Even Kalou being on the bench says something about Ivory Coast. Ghana's performance was fair, considering its inexperienced and younger players.

2. You are correct. This should become a very serious part of the practice routine.
3. I think we have to stick with a 4-4-2 unless Mensah, Boye and Amartey or Awal become an extremely consistent group.
4. The key to winning 2017 is taking every friendly and qualifier before that time extremely seriously. The cohesion should be so tight that by the time AFCON 2017 comes we should feel that getting out of the group is a mere formality and then the knock out stages will be about match ups.
5. I believe that we have to get away from names and "experience" and look at desire and fitness. I personally think that in retrospect, Essien, Muntari and KPB restricted the development of Wakaso, Afriyie and Badu. It also directly had an impact on getting a second striker to come on board. If KPB was not there, I could see the likes of Assifuah or Boakye-Yiadom getting some real playing time.

Look to youth, and start to bring in some of the deserving u20 from 2013, 15.
Keep the 1st 11 with slight tweaks (Kwadwo Asamoah, Waris)
Build a automatic first 15 players for the squad (these will be the core of the team for the next AFCON and WC) Additonal players can come and be tested but Grant or whoever is there needs to know his 1st 11 and 15.

It is only in Ghana where we force our senior and experience players into retirement. That shit has got to stop otherwise Ghana will never win any cup. He never stood up to defend the players, he knew of the corruption but kept quiet until was let go before he decided to to point fingers. Let me finish by saying I am glad Ghana did not win AFCON 2015. We have to give the A. Grant time to really find his place to bring the old players the new players on board, Look at the Chelsea coach, he has Drogba 34/35 yrs of age as a striker playing top class football in EPL. Ghana needs to give A. grant the chance to build on what he just started barely two months.

It is painful for every team to lose in the dying minutes of stoppage time. But then who says our loss 1-2 loss to Senegal in injury time was any more painful (to the losers) than Algeria losing 0-1 to Ghana with seconds to go? The simple fact that we lost in that match does not in any way mean we performed dismally.
Is it not a shame that Ghanaians tend to equate each and every loss with poor performance? In soccer, sometimes you play very well but lose just the same as it's possible to see a team dominating 65% but still losing.
