Enough said. The award is based on last seasons performance, therefore Mahrez is way ahead of them. Come next year it may be Mane if he continues with his fine form at Liverpool.

Dede does not belong to the African elite players, he is just an average and ordinary player. Together with Jordan, they have rode on the back of their father for far too long. When Dede was free on the market no top team went for him, even his cherished dream of playing for Liverpool did not materialize. That shows how he is classified by the powers that be in European football. They cannot compare to their father who could conjure something out of nothing. We all know what the five shortlisted players could do for their respective teams, what has Dede done to his team? Dede is not the superstar that carries a team, he is just a squad player, period!!

No hatred here just being objective than being patriotic. Mahrez, Mane, Auba, Slimani are streets ahead oh him. I will bet on Mahrez. The truth hurts. The teams that needed him were below the table teams, not the top clubs.
