Where there are two or more, there are bound to be differences.

To the two of them, though, if I were to adjudicate in this case, assuming the recrimination stories are true, Dede must await his turn, and must also be psychologically prepared to accept a pass-over because there's no divine guarantee that the present or a future coach will make him Captain.

But Gyan must also be prepared to respectfully accept the decision, in case a coach - current or future - chooses someone else.

What is important is the team, the nation, that elusive trophy. Enough!

But the primary responsibility, I think, is with our reporters.

To the issue of captaincy, don't we always see coaches change team captains all the time? What is the noise about? Abedi Pele was a better footballer than Kwesi Appiah, I know they played different positions. Abedi won more and achieved more, won African cup as a teenager. Where was Kwesi Appiah in 82 when Abedi lite up Lybia? He is senior to Appiah and better leader and deserved the captaincy. Why didn't you guys complain when the captainship was painfully taken from John Mensah and given to Gyan? Or it's because Ayew is a Northerner and son of Abedi.
