Chief Executive Officer of Dalex Finance and Leasing Company Limited Ken Thompson is calling on the three-day-old Akufo-Addo-led government to provide incentives for the agriculture sector.
According to Ken Thompson, the agricultural sector provides a high potency of restoring the economy hence an investment in it will help build a vigorous economy
“Incentify the Agric-sector if you want to enrich the country because the sector has the ability to employ more young people,” he asserted.
In an exclusive interview with GhanaWeb, the investment and financial expert admonished the new government to avoid direct involvement in business.
“Governments over the years have been unsuccessful in handling most businesses, example the power sector, transport sector etc. they (government) should focus on creating the enabling environment for the private business,” he noted
Ken Thompson have in the past successfully “prophesied” the Ghanaian economy’s future. His controversial predictions provoked lots of divergent comments on the airwaves and on social media but for the most part was accurate.
