Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Boamah Otokunor, has criticized President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for their silence following the shooting of two police officers at Kasoa.
He wants Ghanaians to show their disdain for the apathetic conduct of the current administration by voting them out in 2020, or "we will all die".
Two police officers were shot dead by some assailants leading to their death.
One died on the spot whilst the other was rushed to the Police Hospital in Accra in critical condition, where he unfortunately died.
Available statistics indicate that five police officers have been killed in just a month.
Following this dastardly act, the NDC has been asking the President and his vice to react to the unfortunate incident and assure Ghanaians that measures are being put in place to ensure their safety and that of police personnel.
Speaking in an interview on Neat FM, Otokunor said: "I have not heard President Akufo-Addo saying anything concerning this; he has turned himself into a visiting President. It is as if he doesn't even care about what is happening. What he knows is to travel in rented aircraft and party around; saying I am on top of the world. That is the kind of President we have in this country and so if we don't demonstrate against this government, by 2020, we would all die"
