Deputy Finance Minister-designate, Kwaku Kwarteng, one of 3 deputies appointed to the office of the Finance Ministry took his turn before Parliament’s committee on Tuesday March 28, 2017.
Addressing issues regarding the country’s finances and the way forward, he touched on the need for government to implement policies that will increase the country’s revenue as well as consider government expenditure in terms of which can and cannot be compromised.
Mr. Kwarteng also among other things defended the record size of the government maintaining that the huge number of appointees will not be a burden on the country’s finances as measures are in place to ensure the finances are managed.
He was vetted together with two of his colleagues on Tuesday March 28, 2017.
