The Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has chided government for sacking Alfred Ogbamey as the Communications Director for Ghana Gas Limited.
Speaking to Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Kwesi Pratt Jnr said the position was not a political appointment and that it was wrong for the Presidency to have directly sacked Mr Ogbamey as the Communications Manager of Ghana Gas.
He argued that for a person occupying a public service office to be dismissed, he or she must have breached his or her contract. He however added that in such cases, government must provide grounds upon which the person was removed from office.
The Communication Director for National Democratic Party (NDP), Ernest Owusu Bempah has been appointed the New Communication Manger for Ghana Gas Company.
Owusu Bempah, a trained journalist takes over from communications expert, Alfred Ogbamey.
Ghana Gas Company is a state agency that handles the gathering, processing, transporting and marketing of natural gas resources in the country.
