Edmund Kyei one of the communicators of New Patriotic Party (NPP) has warned a group which calls itself Kumasi Youth to desist from peddling lies about newly appointed Chief of Staff Mrs. Frema Osei-Opare as the entire NPP does not only recognize her hard work, but have absolute confidence in her capabilities.

The special aide to Madam Patricia Appiah-Agyei, intimated that President Akufo-Addo did not just appoint her just for appointment sake, but the entire NPP acknowledges her wide range of experience and passion for work.

“Mrs. Osei-Opare’s experiences as former lecturer at the University of Ghana, Member of Parliament and Country Director to Action Aid Ghana among others, are evidence that she is a resourceful person whose expertise is direly needed in the current administration,” Mr. Kyei observed.

He thus strongly cautioned the Kumasi Youth group who are going about sowing seeds of discord among party faithful with their lies that she is incompetent, to put a stop to it.

He added that, he like any ordinary Ghanaian, is interested in the progress of the nation hence if there is any support one must give the newly appointed heads to carry out their duties well, “we must do it to help the nation ‘climb back’ from recession”.

Frema Osei-Opare was named the Chief of Staff of President, Nana Akufo-Addo’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.

Nana Akufo-Addo made the announcement during an address at his residence on January 4, where he also announced Francis Asenso-Boakye and Samuel Abu Jinapor will be the two deputies to the Chief of Staff.

Mrs. Osei-opare who was the former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, becomes the first female Chief of Staff in Ghana.
