MP for Ellembele supports Kimtech's girls dormitory construction with GHC 30000

The MP for Ellembele, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, has reiterated his resolve to ensure that the Kikam Technical Institute is turned into an academic institution that will nurture a youth fit to manage the world of work.

Mr. Armah Kofi Buah said this during a visit to the School.

He advised the students to see it as an opportunity to be in school and make good use of their stay in order to come out as a sought after human resource in the country. Mr. Armah Kofi Buah however expressed worry over the limited number of girls in the institute and advised more girls to dissuade their minds off the fact that some subjects, such as Mathematics, Science and Technical are a reserve for boys.

He said " technical education is the way for the future and we cannot afford to train boys without bringing in the girls there" He also presented a cheque of Thirty Thousand Ghana Cedis to the School towards the construction of a girl’s dormitory project on-going at the school.

He reminded the students and the staff of some of his past interventions such as the upgrade of the school with state of the art training equipment's which are aimed to train students and local artisans in the area, to acquire skills needed in the oil and gas industry and other sectors of the Ghanaian economy.

The MP advised the students to take the opportunity offered to them by their parents to see them educated very serious - " this is an opportunity of a life time, it doesn't happened twice, it happens once in your life time and so the decisions you make every minute, hour and a day will determined your successes or failures". He urged the students to make good use of their time to make real life decisions that will propel them into higher heights and make the real purpose of being in the school which is to excel academically, their number one priority.

Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah assured the students that, he will continue to facilitate and support initiatives that will bring the Day Students to one place where there will be proper regulations and monitoring system to keep the students in check.

The principal of the School, Emma Martha Otuo expressed gratitude to the MP and called on past students as well as other benevolent organizations to support the institute.
