The delegates will consider and adopt a draft constitutional amendment of the party
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will hold its Extraordinary National Delegates’ conference on Sunday, December 17, 2017 in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.
The agenda for the conference is to deliberate, consider and adopt a draft constitutional amendment for the party, officials say.
The conference is in pursuance to Article 9(A)(5) of the NPP constitution.
The weekend’s conference is a follow up to the Cape Coast conference held earlier in August where various proposals were made for amendments to the party’s constitution.
Over 5,000 delegates including founding fathers and patrons of the party, New Patriotic Party Members of Parliament, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies(MMDCEs) and party officials are expected at the conference scheduled for Sunday.
