Some youth in the Afigya Kwabre South District are up in arms with some big wigs of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the nomination of one Karikari Acheamfour as Chief Executive for the area.
The aggrieved youth sees the Minister for National Security, Hon. Albert Kan-Dapaah, the Chief of Staff, Madam Frema Osei-Opare and the National Campaign Chairman the NPP for Election 2016, Peter Mac Manu, as stumbling blocks in their way over the choice of the DCE for the Afigya Kwabre South.
The youth had high hopes that the choice of the DCE will go to their preferred candidate but woke up one day much to their astonishment that the position had been given to a different person in the name of Karikari Acheamfour.
Believing that they’ve been handed a raw deal, the youth led by one Sandtila, who is the Organizer of the NPP Youth Wing in Ankaase, mobilized two bottles of schnapps, six pieces eggs, a sheep and two fowls, stormed Kodei, one of the communities in the Kwabre South District, and called on several deities in the jurisdiction to seek justice for them.
In a very powerful but emotional prayer which was aired live on Kasoa based Pink FM, Sandtila told the gods to descend heavily on whoever, apart from the President, contributed to changing their destiny over the nomination of the DCE for the area.
“If it is the own wisdom of President Nana Akufo-Addo to nominate Karikari Acheamfour as DCE for the area, so be it but if it is not in the wisdom of the President but from some self seeking big wigs in the party, Nananom, I leave them to your care. If our MP, Owuraku Aidoo knows something about this nomination, punish him. We also want you to punish Kan-Dapaah if he also knows something about this nomination. We again call on you to punish Frema Osei-Opare as well as Mac Manu if they also have a hand in this nomination,” he prayed.
Concluding, Sandtila told the deities that they have nothing to appease them if they get the job done either than the immediate families of those who have a hand in changing their destiny.
