The newly elected National Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Henry Nana Boakye a.k.a Nana B, has admitted he has a daunting task to lead the Youth Wing of the party better than his predecessor Sammy Awuku did.

According to him, he risks being exposed badly if he does not work hard as Sammy Awuku was a huge success and his great works widely acknowledged by many which culminated in the NPP’s victory in the crucial 2016 general elections.

“The elections ended Sunday dawn, the real battle has just begun. If I’m not careful I may be exposed badly, in the sense that the work that was done by my predecessor Sammi Awuku as National Youth Organizer was so huge and acknowledged by all such that if I do my work haphazardly I’ll be exposed badly. So I’ll not let my victory get to my head too much but rather I’m hitting the ground running right away. I started work a day after the election, I’ve told my constituency Youth organizers and deputies that we’re starting our youth campaign this year and so everyone should draw his or her programmes for the next half of the year. I need to double up my work because the work rate and the sort of work Sammi Awuku did is very great. He told Kweku Owusu Agyei host of Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa FM Monday.

According to Nana B, his boss Sammy Awuku has challenged him to perform ten times more than he did, adding that “this task is a huge challenge but I know I’ll rise to the occasion.”

He noted that once the context is over, there’s the need for a united front for the NPP youth wing to advance the party’s cause, adding that both a thanksgiving tour and a healing process will begin nationwide very soon to ensure unity in the party.
