Former Ghana's High Commissioner to India, Sam Pee Yalley says until the security agencies delve deep into the Otiko Djaba and Bugri Naabu verbal altercation and bring closure to the matter, the Gender Minister will forever remain a murderer in his (Yalley's) eyes.

Otiko and the Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bugri Naabu has been in the media following their vicious trading of accusations and counter-accusations which started on Friday, May 5, 2017, after the former reportedly met the party's women organizers in the Northern Region without the consent of the latter.

The Gender Minister alleged that Bugri Naabu engages in corrupt activities by collecting monies, goats, cows and other things from people with a promise of getting them the School Feeding programme job.

However, Bugri Naabu denied the allegations and accused her and the Upper East Regional Minister, Rockson Bukari of plotting to kill the late NPP’s Upper East regional chairman, Adams Mahama.

The two leading figures were subsequently hauled before the National Executive Council of the party, reprimanded for their actions and made to render an unqualified apology for their public gaffe.

According to Otiko she reacted to Bugri Naabu’s comments against her because, she felt disrespected.

“Because I am a woman he feels he can bully me...but I apologise to all Ghanaians for what happened,” she said.

Bugri Naabu on the otherhand described the allegation as a ‘slip of tongue’ but apologized nonetheless to Rockson Bukari, for suggesting that he connived with others to murder Adams Mahama.

Portions of his apology letter said “I write to sincerely and unreservedly retract wholly my comments about your client (Rockson Bukari) in an interview I granted Accra-based Radio XYZ. I note, most regrettably that those rather unfortunate comments have since Monday 8th May, 2017, gained wide publicity and may have implications for an ongoing trial in the High Court.”

But commenting on these happenings, Sam Pee Yalley strongly indicaed that until investigations are conducted to exonerate Otiko Djaba, she still remains a murderer in his mind.

“…until this matter is settled Otiko Djaba will remain in my mind as a murderer forever…I do not think that apology can erase the allegation of murder. It is in the interest of both Otiko and Bugri Naabu to face an enquiry to clear their name…” Sam Pee Yalley said during a panel discussion on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji, Saturday.
