Reshuffle: Oppong Nkrumah elevated; Cecilia Dapaah, Adda swap positions; Amewu for Energy

Mustapha Reshuffle President Akufo-Addo has made the first reshuffle of his cabinet ministers

The changes to the composition of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government which was announced Thursday, has seen some ministers of state swap positions.

For instance, the former Minister for Aviation has now been re-assigned by the President to the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources whiles the then political head of that ministry, Kofi Adda has also been moved to the Ministry of Aviation.

Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, former Minister for Information is now the Minister for Inner City and Zongo Development while Boniface Abubakar Saddique who was occupying that portfolio has been moved the Office of the Vice President as Minister of State.

The changes also saw the confirmation of the former Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, John Peter Amewu as the new Minister for Energy.

The former Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Kwaku Asoma-Cheremeh is now the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.

A statement from the Presidency signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin also the elevation of some deputy Ministers to substantive positions.

For instance, a former deputy Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has been elevated to the position of the substantive Minister of Information-designate while the former MP for Asunafo North constituency and deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, Evans Opoku Bobbie is now the Minister designate for Brong-Ahafo Region.

Martin Oti Gyarko, MP for Techiman North constituency is now deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister-designate.

Mr. Rockson Bukari, former Upper East Regional Minister is now Minister of State at the Office of the President while Pius Enam Hadzize, former deputy Minister for Youth and Sports has been re-assigned to deputize Kojo Oppong Nkrumah at the Ministry of Information.

Perry Curtis Okudzeto, a former deputy Minister for Information has also been re-assigned to deputize Issac Asiamah at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
