Resignations hit MASLOC

A source close to Mr Mustapha Batalima Abubakar, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Micro-finance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) has hinted he will be resigning from his position as Deputy CEO of the centre in the coming days.

The source says Abubakar is currently on leave and his preparing to hand his resignation letter to the centre which has been under the Office of the President since its establishment.

According to the source, Mr Abubakar has told friends and family members that his ideologies and that of the current administration led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo are at par and that he will not be comfortable working under an New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.

It could be recalled that two weeks ago the substantive CEO, Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu also resigned her position ahead of the swearing and inauguration of the president at the Black Star Square.

Prior to his appointment as the Deputy CEO, he was the Public Relation Officer (PRO) and later became the Head of Marketing of the Centre.

He had his tertiary education at the University of Ghana with a BSc in Banking and Finance and holds an Executive MBA in International Banking and Finance – France, and also an MSc in Oil and Gas Management – Coventry, UK.

He is currently a Member of the Institute of Public Relation, Ghana.

He was very instrumental in expanding the operations of MASLOC in the districts so as to make MASLOC loans accessible to the productive poor.

He has rich experience in Finance and SME lending. He has a strong managerial skills, leadership qualities and very analytical.
