Numerous reports and videos circulated on social media depict attacks on NDC members by their NPP counterparts across the country with some vandalizing several properties.
A statement released Saturday by the Ghana Police Service has condemned the reported attacks on NDC supporters, urging NPP supporters to desist from indulging in any violent acts that could ruin the peace of the country.
More reports of these attacks are trooping in despite the warning by the police service. In a recent video circulating on social media, some NPP supporters appear to have smashed the side window of the car of one NDC supporter who happened to be passing through a crowd of NPP supporters.
The NPP Flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo was declared President-elect Friday evening by the Electoral Commission. Party followers and enthusiasts have thronged the streets following his victory to express their joy with some inciting violence and aggression through their acts.
