So water baptism is no longer relevant. Whether Galamsey has polluted the water on not, your practice of baptism is Achaic.

YOU DO NOT NEED A RIVER TO CONDUCT BAPTISM. THE WATER IS JUST SYMBOLIC OF WASHING. ANY SMALL DROP, BACKED WITH PRAYER, SYMBOLIZES WASHING. THE PRAYER BEHIND IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT.
WATER WAS DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN IN THOSE AREAS WHERE THE BIBLICAL NARRATIVES TOOK
PLACE.
IN ACTS 8:26–39. PHILIP MET THE ETHIOPIAN EUNOCH while traveling on a desert road.
The location is described as the road “from Jerusalem to Gaza”, specifically noted as a desert road.
As they travel, the eunuch says, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?”
Then Philip baptizes him right there, in that available water.
So where did the baptism happen?
General location: On the desert road between Jerusalem and Gaza
Specific spot: Not named—just some body of water they came across (possibly a pool, stream, or seasonal water source)
This is another example in Acts of baptism happening spontaneously wherever water could be found!!!!!

Do you remember that Saul who became Paul was baptized even after the death of Christ and was on his way to Emaus? I understand baptism but not that of today when some people are just baptized without any Biblical Teachings but are just URGED to confirm to believe in Jesus and that is all. Traditionally, people became baptized when they shirked all their bad old practices and attempted to accept and adopt a new teaching or faith. Now, some people are even baptized by the One Man/Woman Churches if they are able to pay a stipulated amount. How much did Jesus pay to be Baptized by John the Baptist. Let the One Man/Woman Pastor Churches answer me. I would not have paid even a Penny/ Cent/ Dime to be Baptized.

Growing up as youth, none of us engaged in galamsey but we lived a normal life. The youth of today's Ghana behave as if they cannot live without engaging in illegal mining without thinking about its destructive nature, and our politicians look elsewhere.
