  I don't get it, is EC not independent enough to audit the system. A lot of the points being made by political parties should have been the EC's work. Working on election registers is work-in-progress -- cleaning for various reasons such as deaths, fraud etc., and prosecuting everyday; it is not only about opening registers for a period of time and then sitting back. That is how we improve the system - we need a proactive EC and not a reactive one. The EC is letting the political parties drive the process, which is wrong. I am already disappointed in this lady, in whom I had high hopes.

  Why so much contradictions? What is the constitutional mandate of the EC? Why does this elder want us to take this mandate from the EC and give to an unconstitutional supposed independent body? And why is this elder not also advising the demonstrators to be responsible when they exercise their right? Those advocating for fairness and the interest of Ghana should be honest in their utterances. Violence is not the preserve of only one political tradition. The truth is that other political traditions who are quiet now are equally big in numbers and can also cause the same kind of violence to also press home their point of view as is going on now. Ghana belongs to all of us Ghanaians and we need level heads and honest hearts to move forward. So be bold to criticise wrong actions and speech. Don't make some of us get the impression that you are not fit to be referred to as a neutral elder.

They view every move of the EC with suspicion and are sowing that mistrust in their illiterate followers. This will make it difficult for them or other groups to accept the result of the elections.

I had great respect for him but he needs to think before he talks! The electoral Commission works as a arena of substance. If you think there's something in the register which should not be there, you pick up the register and point to it, telling everybody and convincing everybody as to why that name should not be there in line with the law which requires evidence and courts ruling. Standing in the balcony of rooftops shouting and making noises that lends credence to those noises that is not in line with the law and its irresponsible. And the Chair of the Peace Council should know better

WE KNOW THAT POLITICIANS WORK OUT THEIR RIGGING METHODS AND THEN MAKE DEMANDS ON THE EC. TO PUT THEIR RIGGING FORMULA INTO PRACTICES! THE LET MY VOTE COUNT GUYS SHOULD NOT BULLY THE EC, THEY SHOULD NOT TRY TO FORCE THE EC, TO DO THEIR BIDDING, THEY SHOULD JUST SUBMIT THEIR PROPOSALS DEMO OR NO DEMO!!

  Why just the voters register? Replace all passports, all drivers licenses, NHIS cards too. Aldine all our money because there are counterfeits. All official documents must be replaced.
