Second Vice Chairman of the Eastern regional wing of the NPP, Nana Fredua Ofori-Atta has recommended that the Finance minister-designate work on his voice.
Ken Ofori-Atta was the third appointee to be vetted on Friday after two other minister-designates had gone through the drill.
The Economist and Co-founder of Databank was cautioned on a number of occasions by the Chairman of the Appointments Committee during the former’s vetting session to raise his voice as he sounded too soft.
But speaking after the session, Nana Fredua Ofori-Atta noted that despite the soft-spoken nature of Finance minister-designate of Ken Ofori-Atta, his position requires that he speaks up when called on.
Members of Parliament are noted for heckling their opposition members during hearings and submissions.
If confirmed, Ken Ofori Atta will be expected to read the budget at the floor of Parliament.
