The 110 ministers appointed by the H.E President Akufo-Addo is the largest in the whole world. There is no where in the world where any country has 110 ministers, not even 90 ministers or 100 can be found anywhere.

This is according to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu Constituency, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini.

Addressing students of the Tamale Technical University campus on Saturday, enumerating the “sins” of the government to the NDC’s student wing, he was particular about the 110 “incompetent” ministers the president appointed:

“There was the atrocious, unheard of, historically unpalatable constitution by the president of this republic of Ghana of 110 ministers!”, Mr Fuseini told the students.

“My brothers and sisters, I want you to look at the whole world, from Ghana to Nairo to Valu and to Postomoskaya, and tell me if you can find anywhere where a government has been constituted with even 90 ministers, not 100, talk of 110. There is no country on the surface of this earth where you will find such numbers”, he added.

He accused the government of incompetence of ‘gargantuan proportion”, MYNEWSGH.com’s Northern Regional Correspondent reported.

“We are having a government that has short-changed the people of this country.” The Sagnarigu MP said.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has a total number of 110 people serving as ministers, ministers of state and deputies in his administration, which MYNEWSGH.com confirms to be the highest in the Ghana’s fourth Republic history.

Out of the total 110; 20 are Regional Ministers and their Deputies, 40 ministers for various ministries, with 50 deputies with some 4 more serving as Ministers of State.

Jerry John Rawlings had Nineteen (19) substantive ministers, but increased to Twenty-Five (25) in his second term. John Agyekum Kufuor in his first term increased the number of substantive ministers to Thirty-One (31), and maintained the same number in his second term, but the late John Evans Atta Mills in his first term beat down the number to Twenty-Three (23). He however had six (6) Ministers of State in addition to the Twenty-Three (23) bringing the number to Twenty-Nine (29).

He unfortunately didn’t have a second term after his demise. John Dramani Mahama in his first term had Twenty-Four (24) substantive ministers, with Five (5) Ministers of State at the presidency, making it Twenty-Nine 29.
