Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah has emphasized that he wants to play at his favourite midfield role rather than being deployed as a left-back.
The Juventus star was played by coach Kwesi Appiah as a rearguard in yesterday's 2-1 lost to the USA.
“I am a player who likes to take on opponents, playing at the back makes it more difficult for me, I want to play up front but all lies with the decision of the coach,” Asamoah told Accra-based Happy FM.
Ghana will lock horns with Germany in a crunch battle on Saturday of which the west Africans should get at least a point to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
