A man believed to be in his 50s has allegedly committed suicide at Saaka, a farming community at Zebilla in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region.
Ayaaba Dawuda, who is said to be mentally deranged was found hanging on a tree Tuesday dawn behind the house where he lived.
His body was discovered by some residents who were on their way to attending to nature’s call in a nearby bush.
The Zebilla District Crime Officer, Insp. D.O Boakye who confirmed the news to 3News Wednesday said the Police was informed of the incident by the residents and officers were dispatched to the scene.
The body has since been removed and sent to the Zebilla Government Hospital where psychiatrists established the man was suffering from mental ailment after. The police say the body has since released been to the family for burial.
